DJFUNKMIKE,
No matter what mixer you are using, as long as its hooked up in LINE, it should work. I did have that same issue with the tracking bar being red the entire time even when not scratching. Also, if you look at the tracking in the setup tab, The technics will have a nice circle and the cdj with have a square box around the border.. which is kind of weird.
However, the playback and everything seems to be fine and working correctly. I don't know if in the future it will cause an issue or not, so don't quote me on that.
What I actually did is just use the 1 CDJ and use the INPUT REVERSE button in serato to switch the song to the other channel so that I can continue to use the same CDJ for mixing, while still being able to mix with both channels.
I find this method better because a CDJ's beatmatching is all digital, hence more accurate and stable. The Technics runs on a motor which in turn will eventually slow down or speed up at certain times, causing the beat to run off track a little bit. So with this method, in essence it's like having 2 CDJ's to mix with. You get it?
It's up to you what you want to do, either mixer will work for both methods. Hope that helps.
